MyLifeRank is a purpose-driven social network that focuses on user created goals and activities to do within a location. Basically we are currently building a social network that focuses entirely on getting people to go out and socialize in the real world by achieving goals, facing fun challenges, and doing fun activities – together. Facebook formed a highly addictive ecosystem centered on applications, games, the ability of reconnecting with people from your past and the news feed of your friends’ past activities. However, the ecosystem is built with the purpose of keeping you connected with them for as long as possible all while staying on their website which is why statistics show internet users stay on Facebook longer than all of Google combined.
MyLifeRank is different. Everything we built within the network enhances engagement and socializing in the real world. We have gotten rid of the “noise” associated with news feeds. All of the updates are system driven and relate only to what your friends have done or what they plan on doing. We made the updates relevant to the user by showing goal details and location details so that the user can inquire more about what their friends are doing, where they are doing it at, and even join in if they want to. We also have a brilliant search tool that scans all goals, achievements, players, and locations so that a user can always find something to achieve no matter where they are. Finally, we have a sophisticated gaming system in place that not only motivates people in a competitive way but also gets people to engage with their friend’s activities through comments and ratings.
